As with all things at Karma Kane Rods we like to give back. The only requirement that we have for our club members is that they have to do some type of environmental work. We have done everything from stream cleanups to working with the USFS creating trout structure on the streams.
This is the crew that we took to the Pere Marquette River for some erosion control.
On Saturday, I had the opportunity to work with some of my students doing a stream clean up along the Pere Marquette River. Four students from a class that I started called Bigger Than You volunteered to hike or float down the river picking up all of the debris an trash laying along the shore as well as in the river.
We were also able to do some scouting, for what seems to be shaping up for a GREAT steelhead season!!!
Here are a couple of pics to show some of their accomplishments.
